Long Island Beaches
Long Island is home to almost 100 miles of beautiful white sand beaches.
They are situated on the barrier islands of the South Shore which face the Atlantic Ocean.
Their beauty lies in the dunes and grasses which add to the attraction of these beaches.
The North Shore beaches face Long Island Sound and have a different texture. They are
rockier but also provide calmer waters for swimming. The Long Island beaches are famous
and are not to be missed when visiting. Click here for a Tide Table.
